Sunda New Asian

As a new resident to Midtown, I could not be more enthused about this spectacular and sophisticated venue! The ambiance is refined, elegant and cultured while the environment is bustling with vibrant yet calming energy. The short ribs are extraordinary and the seabass is the best in the city. Ryan and Kayla Rodriguez are consummate professionals who crafted perfect cocktails, which were served with the warmest of welcomes and dynamic vibes; and Andrew chimed in with engaging energy and inviting spirit. Manager David greeted our party with a glowing smile and beaming hospitality. The overall dining experience exceeded my expectations to the level of booking a special occasion reservation on the spot. See you again soon!

this place is awesome! Came here tonight with my family for the first time, and our server was a very nice guy named chase. He was insanely knowledgeable on the menu and perfectly described everything to us, was very helpful, and he even got some dishes for us to try!! (Which all tasted awesome). The restaurant itself is very nice inside, and has nice patio seating as well where we sat, which we enjoyed. I got the sake to me roll which was super yummy, and the pad thai, which was good but not the best pad thai ive ever had. Our server brought out the sticky rice wagyu which was really really good, and the ridiculous which was a very fun desert! Overall I highly recommend

My second time here and I was surprised at how good each dish was because my first time was unimpressive. The tocino grilled cheese was flavorful and the toasted bread was just right. I really enjoyed the tuna truffle pizza was well, it tasted fresh and rich. Loved the wagyu lobster roll though it was a bit pricey. The oxtail potstickers were alright, nothing too special. But overall a delicious brunch and I'd revisit soon.

Exceptional!! We celebrated our anniversary at Sunda this year & had an epic, memorable meal!! The restaurant set up is gorgeous! The location, the interior decor, the service, the food & drinks, just brilliant!! Shout out to Corey for providing excellent service! We enjoyed several different dishes and they were all equally amazing! The miso cauliflower, yellowtail jalapeno in ponzu sauce & the grilled shrimp were our absolute favorites of the night. The Meiji margarita was also fantastic As we were wrapping up, Corey brought us some delicate pandan dessert which was delicious too Sunda is going to be our special occasion/date night spot! Thank you Sunda for the fabulous dining experience!

This place was definitely worth the wait. I went for girls night our waiter AARON was the best! The atmosphere was great food was delicious and drinks were strong. Aaron brought us the teriyaki cauliflower which was so good. We had 4 different sushi rolls all were great. The staff and Aaron were great and accommodating when it came to my shellfish allergy. Me and my girls would definitely go back. Aaron was so good at welcoming us and he brought a great vibe to our night. He was the best! Jamie was fun as well thanks for a great night!

Can’t say enough great things about this place. the waitstaff and overall customer service was phenomenal! Chase was our server and completely blew us away with his recommendations and how professional and easy he was to talk to. He was on top of everything along with the other wait staff who kept our drinks filled and our table cleared when we were done with each dish. Definitely set the bar high for our server expectations. Haha The food was absolutely drool-worthy and Chase nailed all of the recommendations after telling him what we liked and didn’t like. The portions sizes are great to share with 2 people and we ordered multiple things to try (one at a time). Everything was great but our absolute favorite were the Bulgogi Roti Tacos. Other things we ordered: >Combo wagyu and spicy tuna crispy rice >Lobgevity Crab Noodles >Island Maki sushi (this was a nice “refreshing” break from all of the savory items but we would try a different one next time) >Chicken Pad Thai the ambiance was a little classier than normal, and the place was beautiful decorated. A little bit of a maze to walk through but it was nice to have the front open and be able to people watch at the same time. Definitely recommend this place to try even once for a nicer date night out. We will definitely be back!

I went to Sunda in Tampa for a networking event and ended up ordering a few small bites and honestly, everything was excellent. The spicy tuna was fresh, balanced, and flavorful. The pork belly? Perfectly cooked, exactly what you want pork belly to be. Even the fries were standout, which says a lot. I genuinely don’t have notes. Everything tasted better than I expected. Tampa has been hit or miss for me when it comes to really good restaurants, but this one absolutely tops my list so far. Sunda is an Asian fusion spot, and I believe they also have locations in Chicago and Nashville, which honestly tracks, because they’re clearly doing something right. I walked out already telling myself: I’ll be back. Over and over again. This is one of those places

Really enjoyed my first time there. We sat at the bar and our bartender/server, Anna (maybe Hannah, sorry I couldn’t hear well lol), was absolutely amazing. We tried a couple of Sake’s before choosing one that was recommended by her. The food was amazing. The oxtail potstickers were super tender and savory. They onion jus and sauce they come with just puts it over the top. The roti tacos were amazing as well. My favorite bite though was the Hamachi. The fish just melts like butter and the chili garlic crisp complemented the fish so well. We finished the night with delicious espresso martinis and we could not have been happier with our experience all around. The food and ambiance were great but the service made the experience that much better.
